STUDENT ART SHOW:
One of the benefits of your child taking classes at Zoll Studio is that they can enter their work into our annual Student and Faculty Exhibit. This formal exhibit of over 600 artworks is attended by hundreds of visitors in the 3-day opening reception. This can be a shining moment for a budding artist. They can celebrate with pride what they have achieved and invite friends and family to see their work hung in a professional exhibit. Students interested in a career or side business in art can get a taste for the transactional details of selling art.

+ WHICH TRACK IS RIGHT FOR ME?
If your child is simply exploring their interest in art or looking to grow creatively without pressure, CREATIVE FOUNDATIONS is a great place to begin. However, if there's any chance they may pursue art in college, we recommend starting with the EMERGING ARTIST PORTFOLIO track as early as possible — ideally by freshman or sophomore year. Still unsure? You’re welcome to register for CREATIVE FOUNDATIONS and ask the instructor about the best fit. We’re happy to guide you.
+ ABOUT BRANDON FLYE
Brandon Flye is the creator and lead instructor of High School Art Studio, the flagship teen program at Zoll Studio of Fine Art. Designed for students who are serious about their growth as artists, the program is not just a class—but a launchpad for creative and personal development.
With over 16 years of experience teaching teen artists, Brandon brings an uncommon blend of technical skill, creative insight, and emotional attunement to his work with young people. He specializes in helping students think deeply about their art—guiding them through the full arc of project development, from brainstorming and concept-mapping to technical execution and personal style formation.
His background reflects a rare fusion of science and art. After earning a B.S. in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Brandon completed an internship in medical illustration at IUPUI in Indianapolis. He went on to work as a professional graphic and exhibit designer for over 15 years, including at the Indianapolis Zoo, White River Gardens, and the Indianapolis Children's Museum—the largest institution of its kind in the world.
In 2009, Brandon turned his focus to fine art and began studying classical oil painting at Zoll Studio, quickly mastering old master techniques and winning numerous awards for his work. He now maintains an active studio practice alongside his teaching.
Brandon has helped hundreds of students grow into confident, skillful artists, and many of his students have been accepted into top-tier institutions such as:
- Yale School of Art
- RISD (Rhode Island School of Design)
- School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC)
- Carnegie Mellon University (CFA School of Art)
- SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design)
- MICA (Maryland Institue College of Art)
